Proof of Address (POA), or address verification, is a document used to confirm that a person truly resides at the address they provided.

It is an important step in the identity verification process (KYC – Know Your Customer) and part of compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations (AML – Anti-Money Laundering), which are required by financial regulators and broker compliance standards.

Documents Accepted as Proof of Address (POA)

Proof of Address (POA) is required to confirm your residential address for KYC and AML compliance. The submitted document must match the address details you entered in the system, and all standard POA documents must be issued within the last 3 months (except for National ID cards or documents used as POI).

Key Requirements :

  • Using POI as POA: Applicants can use their Proof of Identity (POI) document as their Proof of Address (POA). The exact same document can be submitted for both verification steps (e.g., uploading your National ID card for both identity and address), provided that the document clearly displays your full residential address.

  • Address Matching: If you currently live at a different address from your POI, please ensure your submitted POA matches the address type selected in the system (Registered or Current Address).
